Hudson Valley, NY Athlete Guide
CORONAVIRUS COVID-19: (Updated 04/27/2020) At this time, we expect to be able to hold the Splash & Dash and triathlon races as scheduled on July 10-11, 2020 dates. We will closely monitor recommendations by federal, state and county health authorities as well as advice from USA Triathlon. We are prepared to enact a number of provisions to ensure that our athletes, volunteers, spectators and staff can participate in the race safely. The provisions will depend on the facts at the time of the race, but will include any necessary social distancing, protective apparel, surface disinfecting, and food, fuel and hydration safety.
If we determine that the events must be postponed or cancelled, we will notify you in a timely manner and you will be given the option of receiving a full refund of your registration fee or transferring to another race.
Please check back to this site often as we provide weekly updates.
WET SUITS: We will follow USA Triathlon Competition Rules regarding wet suits for age group participants.
When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wet suit at their own discretion, provided however, that participants who wear a wet suit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards. They must be removed from age group and overall competition and cannot be sent to USAT for rankings. HITS will record times for these participants but will not post the names and times in final race results.
Participants may not wear wet suits at water temperatures equal to or greater than 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
PARKING: There is adequate parking onsite at 424 Williams Lake Rd, Kingston, NY 12401 for athletes and their families and friends.
