The following timeline provides a brief overview of the weekend’s events at the HITS Triathlon Series – Sarasota, FL. All times are subject to change.

Saturday, January 4, 2020 – Race Site at Nathan Benderson Park
• 2 – 6 pm: Packet and Timing Chip Pick-Up for all distances*
• 2 – 6 pm: HITS Fitness Expo
• 3 – 4 pm: Athlete Meeting for all distance athletes
• 4 – 5 pm: Bike Drop-Off for all distance athletes

*It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that athletes pick up their packets on Saturday

Sunday, January 5, 2020 – Race Site at Nathan Benderson Park

• 5 – 8:15 am: Additional Packet and Timing Chip Pick-up for all distance athletes
• 5 – 6:30 am: Bike and Gear Drop-Off for Half distance athletes
• 5 – 7:30 am: Bike and Gear Drop-Off for Sprint distance athletes
• 5 – 8:15 am: Bike and Gear Drop-Off for Olympic distance athletes
• 6 am – 8 pm: HITS Fitness Expo
• 6:40 am: Transition area closed to Half distance athletes
• 7 am: Half Male race start
• 7:03 am: Half Female
• 8:20 am: Transition area closed to Sprint distance athletes
• 8:40 am: Transition area closed to Olympic distance athletes
• 8:40 am: Sprint Male race start
• 8:43 am: Sprint Female race start
• 9 am: Olympic Male race start
• 9:03 am: Olympic Female race start
• 11 am: Sprint distance Awards Ceremony**
• 12:45 pm: Olympic distance Awards Ceremony**
• 2 pm: Half distance Awards**
• 4 pm: Transition area closes

**PLEASE NOTE: Athletes MUST be present at their Awards Ceremony to receive an award. Unclaimed awards may be shipped if request is made within two weeks after the event. Athlete is responsible for a $10 shipping and handling fee.

That was my first full Ironman. I would not have wanted the experience any other way. Thank you for your efforts in keeping a small town race and treating everyone there like they were family! It was awesome!

I have raced all over the country

and podium nationally and, although HITS is new, this race is on par with all those other national races.
